Let's Make a Movie: Planning

Planning is the secret to making good films. I know people think filmmaking is all about glitz and glam of directors and movie stars, but a good film all comes together with months of planning. That kind of movie is way out of my league.

I mostly want to focus on making videos for my commercial customers. The film industry refers to these as 'Corporate' or 'Industrial' videos. Sounds lame right? I don't think so.

You can have just as much fun shooting these money-makers as you can with any video. Plus, you get to see how excited the customers are when they finally see the finished product! I know from my film school experience that when you finally show off a finished video - all you can see is every little error, while everyone else is seeing the overall masterpiece!

That gives me an idea for another video series! In school we used to have this 'process' to evaluate everyone's films, without bashing the person over the head with the negative stuff. Hmmm... I like it, but can I fit it in my busy days?

What do you think? Do you like hearing about my filmmaking process and what I do everyday? Send me a comment, like the video, or just keep watching!

    1. Thanks Shan! I'm just trying to get more things out there! I thought I would start off with something I know pretty well and just talk. It's not super entertaining right now, but I'm working on it to get it better.
