Diggy Diggy Hole!

The past couple of days I have been messing around with an awesome game called Minecraft. If you've never heard of Minecraft, its a very simple looking game, but extremely interesting. There are no instructions, there is no mission to accomplish, nothing at all but a massive world that you can explore and build whatever you want!

This is what you see when you first start Minecraft. A world completely empty begging to be explored and built upon. You have no tools and no place to call home. Did I mention that at night zombies, skeletons, and exploding monsters come out to ruin everything?
I think the best part about the game is building anything you want. Part of exploring the world is building a place to call home and customizing it the way you like. Its like imagining the world around you as giant Legos. Because there isn't a way to win Minecraft, the reward for playing the game comes in the creating EVERYTHING.

Here's an example: If you needed some wood, where would you look? You would probably head over to the nearest tree and chop it down! Once you have some raw wood you have opened up a whole new world of crafting objects... made of wood! Yay! Wooden swords, wooden pick axes, wooden shovels, wooden doors, floors, etc. & etc.

Awesome. That's just with a bit of wood. Now do that same thing with stone, iron, gold, and diamonds. If you wanted to build a giant golden apple you could. You probably will.
